33 - Killer Kolsch (Champion) - 10 miles
The weekend had left me broken. Skip joined me for part of my run. The wind was strong, like killer wicked witch strong. It was a sluggish run just over ten miles. After feeling at times near death it felt only appropriate to try Killer Kolsch (5%) by Champion Brewing Co. (Charlottesville, VA). I suppose it is 'Kolsch Style' because it isn't actually German. Real Kosch beers are fermented at higher temperatures, racked and then lager fermented. This was an excellent beer, smooth but with just enough character to keep me interested. Now I need to try some actual German Kolsch beers!
